Important news

All organisations in England that provide NHS or adult social care must now follow the Accessible Information Standard by law.

This means that if you’re deaf or have hearing loss, you must get the right support to communicate well, and receive information that you can understand, when you need NHS care or publicly funded adult social care.

To help you explain to your GP what support you need, there is a template letter produced by Action on Hearing Loss.

Welcome to Shropshire Deaf and Hard of Hearing Forum.

We were set up to represent the hearing impaired community within Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin, as well as to offer information and advice to all who have an interest in supporting that community.

Our web site is still  developing  -please let us know if there are any particular topics you would like us to include.
